When We Are Closed
If you phone us when surgery is closed you will hear a recorded message asking you to call back during surgery hours for routine matters. If you need urgent medical help or advice we will ask you to call 111 where a call handler will take your details and either advise you or put you in touch the emergency out of hour’s service provided by Sheffield GP Collaborative.
We do not forward your call directly to Call 111 as this is a freephone service and the call may be quite lengthy. If we were to forward your call, you would be charged for it.
Walk In Centre
The NHS walk-in centre at Rockingham House on Broad Lane is open every day between 8 am and 10pm. The staff there will be able to advise you and treat a variety of ailments and injuries as well as provide general health advice and emergency contraception advice and treatment.
Call 111
This service is available to guide you the appropriate medical help available for your problem.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
If you or someone you are looking after becomes very ill with symptoms such as severe chest pain, stroke, severe abdominal pains, serious difficulty in breathing, vomiting blood or loss of consciousness you should dial 999 for an emergency ambulance without delay. These conditions need to be seen immediately in hospital and the ambulance teams are fully equipped to start treatment in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
