Nurse Practitioners are trained to diagnose and treat many simple minor illnesses, injuries and infections. As well as reviewing medication and arranging tests and investigations they work with other members of the practice team to look after both acute illnesses and long term health conditions. They are are able to prescribe medications when this is appropriate.

HCA and NHS and New Patient Checks

Phlebotomist and Chronic Disease Monitoring

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. Healthcare assistants carry out some injections for the practice, they are able to do dressings and syringe ears. They may also act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Our Reception team is made up of 5 Receptionists led by the Reception Supervisor Becky.

Becky, Sam, Janine, Julie and Sarah are always happy to help with any queries you may have.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries.  They have received care navigation training to direct patients to the right team member depending on your health issue or query to make the most of the patient appointments with the GPs and Nurses.

They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, correspondence from hospitals and clinics and dealing with patient records.

Our Admin team includes Alison, Adele and Jacquie who deal with the medical records side, including letter typing, recalls, registering patients, coding, running searches and reports etc.
